## About the Author

Joel Willans is a British writer and Creative Director based in Helsinki since 2002. He is the creator of Very Finnish Problems and the author of two bestselling books about Finnish culture published by Gummerus. His work has appeared in the Sunday Times, YLE, Matador Network and BBC Radio. He runs Ink Tank Media, a Helsinki-based digital agency, and has written about Finland as both an outsider and a long-term resident for over two decades.
