Prkl. Three consonants, no vowels. That is the entire word, stripped down to what Finns consider the essential part.
The full form is perkele, a word with a history that begins with a thunder god and ends with a text message. Somewhere in the middle it became the most Finnish thing a person can say when something goes wrong, when something goes right or when something simply requires acknowledgement. The vowels were never carrying their weight anyway.
This shirt does not explain Finnish. It is just proof that whoever wears it has already done the explaining, more times than they wanted to.
